AMNESTY FOR ALIENS IN THE UNITED STATES

The Obama Administration has gone on record in support of an Amnesty Program or other vehicle to grant legal status to the estimated 8 to 20 million aliens illegally residing in the United States.

The anticipated target date for the release of this legislation is March 2010 and the expected start of the application process is October 2010.

Thus, Feod Group is pleased to begin a monthly newsletter devoted to tracking the legislation and encourages the readers of our web site to register for a free copy. Feod Group is please to have former Legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service, Executive Associate Commissioner for Field Operations, William S. Slattery, provide the content of the newsletters. Former Commissioner Slattery comes to Feod Group with over 27 years of experience in the field of U.S. Immigration. Of particular import, is that he was the Assistant Commissioner for Immigration Reform in 1986. The Immigration and Reform Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) was the last and only time that the United States had an alien amnesty program. Commissioner Slattery will bring his experience of having managed that program to the realities of the current opportunities.

In our first newsletter we will be addressing the eligibility requirements of past legislation versus the anticipated eligibility requirements of the expected legislation.
